Summary: The complainant in this case was approached by officials of Nuclear Investment Sacco to take up a matter of unfair treatment of their SACCO by the Nairobi City County. In the course of seeking an amicable solution between the County and the Sacco, the complainant came into contact with the accused, who was the PA to the County Executive, Transport, Roads and Public Works which is where the matter was being dealt with. During that interaction, the accused allegedly asked the complainant to a meeting where he solicited Kes.100,000 and a further Kes.700,000 at a later meeting, promising a favorable resolution for Nuclear Investment Sacco. The complainant made a report with the EACC who facilitated recordings and arrested the accused for araignment in court.
