Summary: The two complainants, Moses Nabiswa Wakenya and Pamela Gakii Gitobu participated in SONU elections and were successful in their bids for Campus Representative - KNH and Finance Secretary respectively. The accused persons experienced delays in their swearing in, and in the course of their inquisitions on the delay, they encountered the accused who proceeded to solicit from them a sum of between 150,000 and 200,000/= for him to facilitate their swearing in. They reported the incident to EACC who facilitated recordings to verify the complaint and laid a trap for the accused. He was arrested by EACC officials as he received 90,000/= treated money from the complainants.
